 I've been working on Lori Holt's Cozy Christmas Pattern this year.

I changed up the fabrics a little from what she did. Check it out.

January is the month you work on the projects you wanted to work on in

December but didn't have time right?

My favorite part of the finished product is the striped inner border and binding (picture down below)

I backed this with white cuddle fabric/ minky. it's so cuddly and soft to lay under...

this quilt was so much fun to make. so many cute blocks!

Farmer's Wife - Farm Girl = Picnic time!

I finally figured out what to do with these farmer's wife blocks. I used the "Square Dance quilt setting" pattern from Farm Girl vintage.

9 - 9"blocks

 

4" squares set in red....

 

and some red check for sashing...

Granny Squares Quilt

I so love that this quilt looks like granny squares.

 

to make it easy, I sewed together the strips first.

 

then crosscut them...

 

with a wider blue outside strip so you can.....

 

cut the outside of each square a little bigger - not right on the points.

this pic also shows the cute free motion quilting I did on my home sewing machine.

 

some of the fabrics are "sew cherry", some aren't
